Donald Harwood is a civil litigator and criminal defense attorney based in New York. He also served as the executive producer for the Oscar-nominated independent film Frozen River. A graduate of the Northeastern University School of Law, Donald Harwood is a former partner of the law firm Itkowitz & Harwood, a Manhattan-based practice specializing in the areas of real estate and litigation. Since his work on Frozen River, he has joined forces with an associate of his former practice to form Harwood Reiff, LLP, where he has expanded his areas of practice to include commercial litigation, landlord-tenant law, real estate litigation, and appellate advocacy.
A former adjunct professor in constitutional law and criminal law at the Northeastern University College of Criminal Justice, he has also lectured numerous times for the New York State Bar Association’s continuing legal education program as well as for Lorman Education Services. When he has free time, he enjoys golfing and listening to classical music and jazz.
